The Business of Show Institute, LLC (The BOSI) is an information publishing company, and interactive, virtual, entertainment industry training center, established and operated from Los Angeles, California.

The BOSI's mission is to provide market intelligence, and useful and actionable systems (developed from real world, hands-on experience, not class room theory) to aspiring Hollywood artists. And finally, to provide unprecedented access to established entertainment industry professionals.

It is The BOSI's intention to serve as THE port of entry into Hollywood, an Ellis Island, to talented and hopeful individuals seeking to penetrate the industry, and strategically position themselves to transition from aspiring artists to successful entertainment professionals.

Marvin V. Acuna, Co-Founder

Marvin V. Acuna – is the CEO and President of Rainmakers, AE Inc, and Co-Founder of The Business Of Show Institute, LA Dinner Club, and MixedLA. Mr. Acuna is the co-creator and the Executive Producer of a new elimination competition series for BRAVO entitled, "Platinum Hit," which showcases undiscovered singers and songwriters as they battle through a series of songwriting challenges. It stars international recording artist, Jewel and Kara DioGuardi.

In 2009, Acuna produced the feature film "The Great Buck Howard" starring John Malkovich, Colin Hanks, Emily Blunt, Steve Zahn, and Tom Hanks. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and made its nationwide theatrical debut in March.

Currently, Mr. Acuna is in production on Chez Upshaw starring Kevin Pollak, Illeana Douglas, Molly Sims, Shane Johnson, and Greg Grunberg. And the non-scripted program Lyrics and Recipes: The Art of Food & Music, a new series in collaboration with The Grammy's, which pairs a Grammy Winning and/or Nominated Musical Artist with a James Beard Winning and/or Nominated Culinary Artist. Each episode provides an intimate portrait of two acclaimed and celebrated artists as they share their personal stories, inspirations, and triumphs with each other while navigating the iconic landmarks of the cities they call home. Each episode concludes with an exquisite gourmet feast prepared by the Chef paired with a special live performance by the Musician.

Finally, Mr. Acuna recently produced the exclusive, invitation only, MySpace event at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival featuring a live, intimate, performance by the Crash Kings, The 2011 Stockholm Vodka Swimwear Fashion Show by "sewing sage to the stars", Ashley Paige, the Bacardi & STK party for the 2011 Academy Award Nominees of The Fighter starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale and Amy Adams, and the ongoing LA Dinner Club featuring celebrity chefs & MixedLA featuring celebrity mixologists.
